Abstract

The invention provides a particle operating and controlling system and method based on slit phononic crystals. The particle operating and controlling system comprises a slit phononic crystal structure, a microflow control device encapsulating structure, an ultrasonic electronic system and an optical observation system, wherein the slit phononic crystal structure is encapsulated in the microflow control device encapsulating structure; the slit phononic crystal structure consists of two flat plates carved with a periodic structure, and the two flat plates are arranged in parallel at a certain interval; the ultrasonic electronic system is used for controlling transmission of ultrasonic waves and exciting the generation of a local electric field in the slit phononic crystal structure; and the optical observation system is used for observing the movement state of particles in slits of the slit phononic crystal structure. According to the particle operating and controlling system and method disclosed by the invention, the slit phononic crystals namely sound artificial structures are utilized, a superstrong local gradient sound field is produced in the slits of which the size is far smaller than the wave length of a sound source, and sound radiation force produced by the strong local gradient sound field is utilized for operating, controlling and capturing granules of which sizes are far smaller than the wave length.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of ultrasonic manipulation of particles, in particular to a system and method for manipulating particles based on an artificial sound field. Background technique [0002] The technology of manipulating micro-nanoparticles can provide an effective tool for studying the microscopic world. Currently, the technology of manipulating micro-nanoparticles has been applied in many fields such as physics, chemistry and biology. As a kind of mechanical wave, sound wave can exchange momentum and energy with particles in the sound field, generate sound radiation force, and control the movement of particles. Acoustic manipulation of micro-nanoparticles has the advantages of non-contact, no damage, good biocompatibility, and easy realization. However, due to the limitation of the diffraction limit, ordinary ultrasonic fields cannot directly manipulate particles much smaller than the wavelength (for example, ordinary megah...
