A preparation method of the sensitive plant root extract and the lotus leaf extract comprises the following steps: conducting heat reflux extraction on dried sensitive plant root or lotus leaves by virtue of ethanol, combining filtrates, and concentrating until no alcohol smell exists, so that an ethanol-extracted concentrated solution is obtained; then, diluting the concentrated solution with water, and sequentially extracting the diluted concentrated solution by virtue of petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and water-saturated n-butyl alcohol; and dissolving an n-butyl alcohol extract with water, filtering, enriching active ingredients of an obtained filtrate by virtue of macroporous resin, and spray-drying, so that the freckle-removing and whitening cosmetic is obtained. The freckle-removing and whitening cosmetic provided by the invention, which takes the plant extracts as the functional ingredients and controls a content ratio of the sensitive plant root extract and the lotus leaf extract, can take effects on removing freckles and whitening to the greatest extent.
