Abstract

The invention discloses a video static frame detection system based on CRC check and a method thereof. The system comprises a video frame picture data acquisition module which is used for decoding video information so as to acquire continuous video frame picture data; a frame image block division module which is used for dividing each video frame picture into multiple frame image blocks; a CRC check module which is used for performing CRC checking on each frame image block so as to acquire a corresponding CRC check value; and a control module which determines whether the frame image block is a static frame image block based on the CRC check value, determines whether the frame picture is a static frame picture according to the number of the static frame image blocks and determines existence of a static frame fault according to the number of continuous static frame pictures. Algorithm performance is simple, resource occupation is low and performance efficiency is high so that performance time of video static frame detection is shortened, the static frames can be accurately detected and detection efficiency can be enhanced.
