Abstract

An embodiment of the invention discloses an MRP (Material Requirement Planning) selection method which is used for solving a lot of allocation problems in the prior art, which effectively reduces the allocation cost and which improves the MRP efficiency. The method comprises a step of obtaining the stock of materials in a first MRP zone number; a step of determining whether the stock of the materials in the first MRP zone number meets a preset requirement or not; a step of obtaining the stock of materials in a second MRP zone number from a data base according to the first MRP zone number when the stock of any material in the first MRP zone number does not meet the preset requirement; a step of accumulating the total stock of the materials in the first MRP zone number and the materials in the second MRP zone number; and a step of selecting the material which meets the preset requirement as a required material when at least one material in the first MRP zone number and the second MRP zone number meets the preset requirement. An embodiment of the invention also provides a corresponding MRP selection device.
