Problems solved by technology

The identification of the estrus period of ewes is generally done manually, with large errors and high manpower consumption. Moreover, when the number of ewes is large, the estrus period cannot be found in time, which reduces the breeding rate and causes certain losses.

Abstract

The invention discloses a ewe estrus detection device which comprises a shell, a control box, a peephole, an inkjet marker and an ear tag reader-writer. The peephole facilitating contact between a ewe and a ram is formed below one side of the shell. The ear tag reader-writer for reading an ear tag of the ewe is installed on the outer side of the peephole. The control box and the inkjet marker for marking are arranged inside the shell. A PLC, an electromagnetic valve and a touch screen are arranged inside the control box. The PLC is connected with the electromagnetic valve and the touch screen and further connected with the ear tag reader-writer. When an electronic ear tag is put on the ear of the ewe, the ram is put into a full-closed fence; the ear tag reader-writer will read the number of the ear tag every time the ewe visits the ram, the ear tag reader-writer transmits data to the PLC, whether the ewe is in the estrus or not is judged after the PLC processes the data, and if the PLC judges that the ewe is in the estrus, the inkjet marker is controlled to mark the ewe. The ewe estrus detection device is used for detecting whether the ewe is in the estrus, is simple, replaces manual work, reduces manual errors, and improves the breeding rate.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of animal husbandry, in particular to an ewe estrus detector. Background technique [0002] In the livestock sector, selective livestock breeding is often desired. Such selective livestock breeding may be performed by mating selected animals, artificial insemination, or by any other suitable method. However, any method used requires determining when the animal is in estrus in order to perform insemination, thereby fertilizing the animal. Due to the short duration of the animal's estrus, insemination must be performed during the animal's estrus. Accurate detection of estrus in animals has long been problematic in the prior art. [0003] The ovaries and sex organs of the young ewes are not fully developed. Most of the follicles in the ovary are in a state of atrophy and atresia during the development process. After the state, with the growth and development of the ewe, the secretion of gonadotropin from the pituitar...
