Benefits of technology

This technology allows for better tracking and monitoring of items being shipped by an internet of things (IoT) network without requiring human intervention during its entire process. It also improves data collection speed while reducing errors caused by manually entering important details about each item's status. Overall, these improvements enhance overall performance and productivity across various industries such as manufacturing, logistics management, transportation networks, etc., which can benefit businesses worldwide.

Problems solved by technology

The current method for managing shipments involves manually recording delivery details or purchasing items from venders with limited data input capabilities. This leads to errors such as incorrect orders due to misplaced products or lacking relevant sales detail during transit. Additionally, there are issues where customers have difficulty remembering what they want when sending their purchased materials through different channels like postal mailings or electronic communication systems without referring back to previous receipts.

Abstract

The invention discloses an Internet of Things system for supply chain management. The system comprises a cargo receiving checking device, a logistics management server, an industrial personnel computer, a computer scale and a delivering checking device. The cargo receiving checking device is used for scanning a first electronic tag of a warehouse cargo, obtaining first cargo information of the warehouse cargo and uploading the first cargo information. The logistics management server is used for receiving the first cargo information, storing the first cargo information to a logistics database and generating sorting tasks and delivering cargo information according to cargo order information and the first cargo information. The industrial personnel computer is used for controlling an automatic assembly line to complete the sorting tasks. The computer scale is used for weighing a sub-cargo obtained through sorting of the industrial personnel computer and generating a second electronic tag comprising second cargo information of the sub-cargo. The delivering checking device is used for scanning the second electronic tag to obtain the second cargo information and conducts checking on the second cargo information according to the delivering cargo information. By means of the technical scheme, the technical problems that the cargo receiving and delivering information in the prior art is poor in accuracy and low in type-in efficiency are solved, and the accuracy and the type-in efficiency of the cargo receiving and delivering information are improved.
