Embodiment Construction

[0038] Delivery catheter 1 ( Figure 1A ) consists of a cylindrical tube with a diameter of the order of 1.6 mm and whose proximal end 2A comprises a gripping portion 3 known per se. A metal cannula 4 known per se is placed in the tube 2 .

[0039] according to Figure 1B The introduction duct of ® comprises, in a known manner, a tube 5 of approximately 2.7 mm, into which is introduced a rod stop 7 comprising a male element passing through the inside of the tube 5 forming the introduction duct.

[0040] The proximal end 7A of the rod 7 is supported by the proximal end 5A of the tube 5 and the distal end 7B of the rod 7 exceeds the open distal end 5B of the tube 5 in length by an order of about 2 mm. The rod stopper 7 is withdrawn from the tube 5 to be replaced by the delivery catheter 1 for delivery.

[0041] The distal portion 5B of the tube 5 is designed to enter the patient's body, comprising evenly spaced marking lines (eg 1 to 6 marking lines) of the order of 10 mm. Th...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a gynecological transfer or shape-memory insemination device comprising a catheter that comprises a polymer tube open at both ends thereof, characterized in that said tube consists of a polymer of average density combined with an inorganic filler. Such a device has an adjustable diameter and a structure that is not enlarged by the presence of a metal mesh, and does not require tedious movements, as may be the case with a flexible insertion catheter combined with a metal positioning mandrel.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a medical device used in gynecology, and in particular to a device for embryo transfer or artificial insemination, equipped with a catheter whose material is malleable (bendable) and capable of Keep the given shape. [0002] The material is thus capable of changing shape as the user applies pressure, and retaining the applied shape. Bending is said to be inelastic or plastic. [0003] For convenience, these materials are said to have "shape memory." Background technique [0004] Current delivery devices, whether designed for sampling or injection / insemination or embryo delivery, generally consist of a catheter in the form of a hollow cylindrical tube open at both ends and of small diameter. For delivery, one of the ends of this tube is connected or communicated by a connector to a device for sampling, which is used to create a restraint or apply moderate pressure for sampling or injection, respectively. [0005] In ...
