The invention discloses a user identity recognition method based on hand exercise. Identity recognition is achieved by means of hand exercise characteristics of users. The method comprises an off-line stage and an on-line stage. In the off-line stage, hand exercise tracks of all the users to be recognized are recorded through a depth camera, then the tracks are segmented, space-time parameters are extracted from the segmented tracks to be used as characteristic information, and finally the characteristic data are trained by means of a machine learning method to obtain a user identity recognition model. In the on-line stage, the hand exercise tracks of the users are collected similarly, and segmentation and characteristic extraction are carried out on the tracks. Then, on-line recognition is carried out on the tracks through the user identity recognition model obtained in the off-line stage. According to the user identity recognition method, with the help of the depth camera, identity recognition is achieved by means of hand exercise behaviors of the users, physiological characteristics and behavioral characteristics of the users are combined, and the user identity recognition method has the advantages of being capable of being carried with the users, universal, noninvasive, receptible and the like.
