Abstract

The invention discloses a universal switching device for a pin type plug of a cable and a contact grouping method of the universal switching device. The universal switching device comprises a conductive rubber contact plate, a metal contact plate, a movable non-metal pressure plate, compression bolts, a switching device body and a leading-out cable, wherein the compression bolts are arranged on the switching device body, and when the compression bolts are screwed, the movable non-metal pressure plate, the metal contact plate and the conductive rubber contact plate inside the switching device body will be sequentially driven to move, so that contacts of the conductive rubber contact plate make contact with pins of the pin type plug of the tested cable. According to the contact grouping method, core wires are grouped by determining the on-off states of the core wires at the leading-out end of the leading-out cable of the universal switching device, and the corresponding relations between the core wires of the tested cable are obtained. Compared with the prior art, the universal switching device and the contact grouping method thereof can achieve connection between a cable tester and pin type plugs of tested cables in different types, meet the requirement for diversification of the tested cables, and reduce the number of accessories of the cable tester.
