When the sand grains in the sampling water enter the space 42 of the measurement chamber 52, they immediately fall into the sand grain trap 66, and stay in the trap 66 and cannot come out. This invention effectively avoids the impact of sand particles in the measurement water on the measurement signal, and protects the surface finish of the measurement chamber 52 and the lower piston 40 from being damaged. Sand particles are washed out of the trap 66 during cleaning of the probe.
