The current boosting apparatus is sleeved in a GIS pipe female housing so as to achieve an aim of current boosting. In such work condition, the operation work condition is simulated through the voltage boosting apparatus and the current boosting apparatus, stimulants such as tip ends and particles are built in a GIS bus test segment for charged detection test study. On the basis of the test study, an effective detection means of GIS equipment internal typical faults and corresponding determination bases are proposed. The GIS equipment fault simulation test system can be used for performing fault recurrence and charged detection work under rated operation voltage and operation current, and also be used for performing insulation characteristic test study, so as to realize validation research on the field insulation detection effective means.
