Embodiment Construction

[0014] The present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.

[0015] like figure 2 As shown, the current driving method of the plasma display mainly adopts a driving method in which addressing and display are separated, and its driving waveform includes three intervals: a reset period, an address period and a sustain period. The plasma screen can be equivalent to a capacitive discharge load, and the size of the load varies with the images it displays. The discharge load refers to the ratio of the number of pixel units that need to be lit to the number of all pixel units according to different image display requirements during the display process of the plasma display, and the ratio is expressed as a percentage. In order to reduce the useless loss generated during the discharge process of the maintenance period, the plasma display drive circuit adopts such as image 3 The energy recovery circuit shown...

Abstract

The invention provides a method for reducing energy consumption of a plasma display and improving brightness of the plasma display. A switch of a high-pressure drive circuit is controlled through a control circuit output sequential control signal of the plasma display. Driving waveform is output according to sequential modification of the switch. Time intervals between X / Y maintaining pulses are adjusted in a maintenance period of the drive waveform according to change of a discharge load. ERH time, ERL time and SUSH time in an energy recovery circuit are adjusted on the basis of the time intervals. The smallest set value of the time intervals between the maintaining pulses is 200ns, the ERH time in the energy recovery circuit is adjusted between 200ns and 600ns, and the ERL time in the energy recovery circuit is adjusted between 300ns and the 900ns. By the adoption of the method for reducing energy consumption of the plasma display and improving brightness of the plasma display, when the discharge load is not higher than 90%, the reduction of energy consumption of the plasma display is achieved, and improvement of the brightness of the plasma display is achieved. The method for reducing energy consumption of the plasma display and improving brightness of the plasma display has the outstanding advantages of being simple and easy to operate, effective and economical, beneficial to reducing research and development cost and shortening the development cycle.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of plasma displays, in particular to a method for reducing the energy consumption of the plasma display and improving its brightness. Background technique [0002] Plasma display is one of the mainstream flat-panel displays at present, and it is formed by combining front and rear substrates. like figure 1 As shown, multiple pairs of display electrodes parallel to each other are fabricated on the front substrate. Each display electrode pair is composed of a set of scan electrodes (Y electrodes) and sustain electrodes (X electrodes). The display electrode pairs are covered with a dielectric layer and protective layer. A plurality of parallel data electrodes (A electrodes) are fabricated on the rear substrate, covered with a dielectric layer, barrier ribs are fabricated on the dielectric layer, and phosphor powder is coated. The front and rear substrates are aligned in such a way that the display electrode pairs int...
