Abstract

The invention discloses artificial snake breeding feed and a preparation method thereof. The feed comprises the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 45-55% of chick, duck or dead chick embryo, 20-30% of fish, 10-20% of animal giblet, 3-8% of insect powder, 1-3% of bovine bone powder, 0.1-1% of additive and 0.5-2% of sheep casing or hog casing. Meats as the main materials in the feed are all crushed and thermally treated, so that the mechanical digestion burden of a snake can be reduced; food can be quickly disintegrated after the casing is crushed, and the disintegrated food is mixed with a digestion solution, so that the chemical digestion process can be accelerated and the utilization rate of nutrient can be increased; parasites and harmful microorganisms in the food can be killed through high-temperature treatment; the main raw materials of the feed are all cheap and easy to get; the chick and the duck as the main raw materials can provide most of proteins; and the fish, the insect powder and the animal giblet such as pork liver or the like as supplements optimize the protein composition of the feed and meet the demand of essential amino acid of the snake.
