The method comprises the following steps: updating the stored database configuration information by monitoring the change of the database configuration information, wherein the configuration information at least comprises a database name, and an IP address and a port corresponding to the database name; receiving a connecting request of a client for a target database and obtaining a target database name; and if the target database name is in the stored database configuration information, establishing the connection of the client and the target database according to the IP address and the port corresponding to the target database name, thereby realizing the timely updating for the configuration information of the database following the change of a back-end database when the back-end database is changed, and preventing the access of the client from being influenced.
