According to the application method, expanded perlite with reasonable formula is developed, the expanded perlite is prepared into cement expanded perlite by setting a reasonable raw material proportion and then conventional cement mortar leveling method is adopted, so that the application of the expanded perlite to the ship deck is smoothly realized. The deck structure comprises a deck layer and a cement expanded perlite layer in sequence from bottom to top, wherein the cement expanded perlite layer is bonded with the deck layer. According to the application, the cement expanded perlite is used for replacing the currently used primary deck coverings, so that the properties of the obtained deck structure can well satisfy the requirements; and the density of the cement expanded perlite is low and the paving thickness is not limited, so that the weight of the deck structure is greatly reduced, the net weight of the ship body is lightened, the local overweight phenomenon is mediated and eliminated and the stability of the ship body structure is improved.
