The invention provides an OAM (Operation Administration and Maintenance) message and data message uniform transmission path method and device in an MPLS (Multiple protocol Label Switching)-TP (Transport Profile) network. The OAM message and data message uniform transmission path method comprises the following steps of: carrying out various treatment manners, such as analyzing, searching and judging, on input data messages; correspondingly packaging an MPLS-TP OAM message according to the detected data messages, and marking the desired same treatment manner of the data message on the OAM message; carrying out queue treatment on the processed data message and the OAM message; and correspondingly editing the processed data message and the OAM message. Therefore, the OAM message and the data message which are processed are subjected to the same edition operation by using a uniform path, so that the resources of a packet processing chip (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) can be saved; the cost can be reduced; and the using efficiency of the chip can be improved.
