Abstract

The invention provides a method for DRX (discontinuous reception) configuration and measurement in user equipment and base station equipment and aims to solve the technical problem that accuracy and reliability of cell switching measurement are reduced due to DRX. The method includes determining and discovering neighboring cells; updating DRX configuration of the user equipment, and updating DRX configuration of the base station equipment and the user equipment synchronously; performing switching measurement to the neighboring cells by the user equipment according to the updated DRX configuration, sending a measurement report to the base station equipment corresponding to the user equipment, and receiving the measurement report sent from the user equipment by the base station equipment. Accordingly, measurement flexibility is improved. Preferably, the updated DRX configuration is consistent with the measurement time, so that the measurement result is accurate and reliable.
