Abstract

The invention discloses a method for monitoring running states of vehicles in a tunnel. The method comprises the following steps: (1) monitoring vehicles entering in a tunnel, tracking running states of the vehicles, and converting monitoring signals into electrical signals; (2) receiving and processing the monitoring signals; and (3) displaying the processed running state signals of the vehicles in the tunnel at a conspicuous position of an entrance of the tunnel in order to warn drivers coming into the tunnel of selecting running lanes and adjusting running speeds. According to the method provided by the invention, the running states of the vehicles in the tunnel are monitored, the running states of the vehicles are converted into the electrical signals and the electrical signals are processed, and vehicle speed signals and signals of distance between vehicles and the entrance of the tunnel which influence the running safety are displayed at a conspicuous warning display screen of the entrance of the tunnel in order to warn the drivers coming into the tunnel of notifying the running states of the vehicles in the tunnel, thereby guaranteeing the running safety of the vehicles. The invention also provides a monitoring device of the method for monitoring running states of vehicles in the tunnel.
