A shutter panel, a protective screen or a ventilation port is arranged on each heat exchanger panel. The control box is arranged at the rear part of the intermediate panel. According to the outdoor unit disclosed by the invention, the heat exchangers are respectively arranged at two sides of the intermediate panel of the enclosure; under the condition that the refrigerating or heating capacity of the outdoor unit of the multi-connected air conditioner is constant, the whole outdoor unit can become more compact in structure and smaller in size; and compared with the outdoor units with the same capacity, of other concatenated air conditioners, the outdoor unit for the direct-current frequency conversion multi-connected air conditioner has the advantages that the overall dimension can be reduced by about 24 percent and the corresponding material cost, transportation cost and mounting cost are lower.
