Abstract

The invention discloses a method for manufacturing a hub of a high-performance cross-country recreational vehicle, comprising the following steps of: (1) material preparation: cutting an aluminum alloy rod into blanks; (2) blank cleaning: removing the surface impurities such as oil stains and the like; (3) preheating: preheating the blanks to 400-450 DEG C and preserving the temperature for 1h; (4) rough forging: pre-forging the blanks into cakes under a 800-ton forging machine; (5) mould preheating: preheating the forged moulds to about 300 DEG C; (6) placing the roughly forged blanks into a mould and forging under a 1200-ton forging machine for 2-3 times for the preliminary forming of the blanks; (7) placing the preliminarily formed blanks into a flaring machine for flaring; (8) placing the flared blanks into a horizontal spinning machine for spinning so as to obtain various generatrix-shaped hollow rotator hubs; (9) placing the spun blanks into a numerical control lathe and a processing center for machining; and (10) surface treatment.
