Abstract

Provided is a cosmetic preparation for hair styling which is a water-based preparation having a low viscosity and, despite this, has excellent hair styling performance, hair restyling performance, and set retention, and which is nonsticky and smooth and imparts an extremely light finish. The cosmetic preparation for hair styling comprises (a) 1.5-12 mass% surfactant that is solid at ordinary temperature (25 C), (b) a polyalkylene glycol polymer that is liquid at ordinary temperature (e.g., polyethylene glycol having an Mw of 200-900), and (c) a film-forming polymer, and has a viscosity of 10,000 mPas or lower (25 C; Brookfield viscometer).
