Abstract

The invention discloses a catalyst for purifying nitric oxide, and a preparation method of the catalyst. The catalyst comprises a bauxite carrier and one or more active ingredient(s) in transition metal ions such as Cu, Co and Mn or little precious metals such as Pt, Rh and Pd which is / are loaded on the bauxite carrier, wherein the weight of the active ingredient(s) is 1-10% of the total weight of the catalyst. The catalyst adopts one or more in alkali metals such as Li, Na, K and Rb or alkaline-earth metals such as Mg, Ca, Ba and Sr as accessory ingredient, and the weight of the alkali metal(s) and the alkaline-earth metal(s) is 10-30% of the total weight of the catalyst. The purification effect and the service life of the catalyst are superior to those of the traditional Pt / Ba / Al2O3 catalyst; and the catalyst is convenient to operate, low in cost and good in purification effect, and has obvious industrial application value.
