Abstract

The invention provides a method for quickly detecting and switching during roaming of a wireless terminal. The method comprises the following steps: connecting the wireless terminal to a basic service set (BSS) in a wireless network; detecting whether another BSS exists in the surroundings of the wireless network by the wireless terminal; if so, recording a signal strength of a presently connected BSS and the signal strength of the other BSS by the wireless terminal according to a preset time interval; judging whether a roaming condition is met or not by the wireless terminal according to the recorded signal strength of the presently connected BSS and the signal strength of the other BSS; and if the roaming condition is met, switching the roaming of the wireless terminal to the other BSS. According to the method provided by the invention, the problem of network disconnection caused by delayed roaming during the moving process of the wireless terminal is solved.
