Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting toxicity in water using sulfur-oxidizing bacteria, in which air and a water sample are introduced into a reactor containing sulfur-oxidizing bacteria and sulfur particles, and then the amount of sulfuric acid resulted from oxidation of the sulfur particles by the sulfur-oxidizing bacteria is analyzed based on the pH and electrical conductivity (EC) of the water sample, thereby detecting toxicity in the water sample. In the apparatus, the measured values of pH and electrical conductivity (EC) are not affected by air bubbles generated when the air and the water sample are introduced into the reactor, and the activity of the sulfur-oxidizing bacteria is not adversely affected by the pH of the water sample, so that accurate measurement results can be obtained. In addition, the apparatus comprises a plurality of reactors, and thus can continuously perform the detection of toxicity.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an ecotoxicity detector using sulfated microorganisms, in particular to an ecotoxicity detector that uses sulfated microorganisms to obtain accurate toxicity detection results. Background technique [0002] There are many ways to detect whether water is polluted by toxic substances. Among them, Korean Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 2009-28138 for which the applicant has submitted an application includes a water toxicity detector using sulfur particles. [0003] figure 1 It is a schematic diagram of the structure of the water toxicity detector as described in the communiqué. As shown in the figure, the water toxicity detector (1) includes: the inflow and outflow of water samples, the microbial reaction tank (2) filled with sulfated microorganisms and sulfur particles, and the first detection device located on the inflow side of the microbial reaction tank (2) part (4) and the second detection part (5) located inside the mic...
