Abstract

The present invention aims to provide a light-emitting diode (LED) package using a liquid crystal polymer. The LED package comprises: a package main body formed using a liquid crystal polymer; a leadframe formed on the package main body; an LED chip mounted on the leadframe; and a resin encapsulant which comprises a fluorescent body and seals the LED chip. Therefore, the LED package of the present invention is highly reliable.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a light emitting diode package using a liquid crystal polymer, and more particularly, to an environmentally friendly light emitting diode (LED) package realized by using a liquid crystal polymer, thereby improving reliability and preventing Environmental pollution or contamination. Background technique [0002] Light-emitting diode (LED) chips are solid light-emitting elements made of semiconductors. Compared with other heat-converting light-emitting elements, LED chips are stable, reliable and have a long life. In addition, the LED chip can be driven at a low voltage with a current of several tens of mA, thereby consuming less power, and thus the effectiveness of the LED chip as a light emitting element can be further expected. [0003] LEDs are increasingly used as light sources in various fields. For example, edge-lit LEDs can be used as light sources in the backlight units of small LCD displays, such as the displa...
