The position data of a traveled path is recorded; a path that is traveled for many times can be obtained by comparing the position data of the recorded paths, or comparing the position data of a recorded path and the position data of a traveled path; information of a flow of energy describing consumption / gain of energy along the path during travel on a route and depending on a position recorded with the position data is captured; the internal combustion engine and the electric motor are utilized to control participation of driving on a recognized path depending on need of energy / energy gain expected along the recognized path using the information. The invention also relates to a corresponding hybrid control device.
