Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for demonstrating an incomplete combustion experiment. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) taking a plate-like combustible and rolling up the combustible into a conical combustible barrel of which the diameters of the two ends are different; (2) wedging the part, which is shorter than or equal to half of the barrel, of the end of with the smaller diameter of the combustible barrel into a fireproof barrel of which the shape is matched with that of the part; (3) tilting the combustible barrel, wherein the end with the smaller diameter is arranged at a high position; and (4) igniting the end with the larger diameter of the combustible barrel, and igniting smoke when the smoke appears on the end with the smaller diameter of the fireproof barrel. The method is simple and feasible, visible in experiment phenomenon, vivid, interesting and persuasive and can be widely applied to chemical teaching of junior and high middle schools and science education popularization.
