Method for artificially feeding ladybirds or lacewings by using lepidoptera insect larvae

A technology for lepidopteran insects and larvae is applied in the field of raising ladybugs or lacewings, and can solve the problems of restricting the large-scale industrial production of ladybirds and lacewings, planting and growing space for large aphid host plants, and high feed and labor costs.

Problems solved by technology

As such, feed and labor costs are high, and larger aphid host plants are required for planting and growing space
In addition, the cannibalism of ladybugs and lacewings also limits the large-scale factory production of ladybugs and lacewings, which has become a limiting factor for providing a large number of natural enemy insects at low cost

Embodiment

[0037] 1. Rearing of Lepidoptera Larvae

[0038] The artificial feed formula invented by the inventor is adopted, and the formula of the feed comprises by weight: 10 parts of casein, 20 parts of wheat germ powder, 20 parts of tomato, 3 parts of potassium sorbate, 0.2 part of vitamin C, 0.7 part of rapeseed oil 2 parts, 2 parts of agar and 200 parts of water;

[0039] Its specific preparation steps are as follows:

[0040] A. Make 20 parts of tomatoes into a paste, add 200 parts of water, 2 parts of agar powder and rapeseed oil by weight, stir and heat to boiling, so that the agar is completely dissolved;

[0041] B. Put the weighed casein and wheat germ powder potassium sorbate vitamin etc. into a container and mix in addition; and

[0042] C. Pour the tomato agar mixture dissolved in step A into the container of B while it is hot, mix the substances in step B in the tomato agar mixture, and form a solid mixture after cooling, then divide and store for feeding to Lepidoptera...

Abstract

The invention provides a method for artificially feeding ladybirds and / or lacewings. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) incubating lepidoptera insect larvae after lepidoptera insect adults lay eggs, and feeding the lepidoptera insect larvae with feed; (2) feeding ladybird larvae and / or lacewing larvae by using the lepidoptera insect larvae as feed to obtain ladybird adults and / or lacewing adults, wherein the lacewings are selected from one of chrysopa septempunctata and chrysoperla nipponensis; and (3) feeding the ladybird adults and / or chrysopa septempunctata adults by using the lepidoptera insect larvae as the feed, and feeding chrysoperla nipponensis adults by using honey and beer dry yeast powder. Compared with the prior art, the method for feeding the ladybirds and the lacewings in a large scale by using the lepidoptera insect larvae as the feed replaces the conventional method for feeding the ladybirds and the lacewings which are natural enemies of aphids by using the aphids cultured by plants, and the method saves more time and labor, is simpler and more convenient and is easier to operate.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of pest control. The invention relates to a method for raising ladybugs or lacewings by using Lepidoptera larvae as feed. Background technique [0002] Ladybugs and lacewings are important predatory natural enemy insects, which are mainly used to control aphids, mites, scale insects, whiteflies and other agricultural and forestry pests that are difficult to control. At present, the large-scale industrialized breeding technology of ladybugs or lacewings is still very lacking, and is still in a very early stage. The key reason is that the technology for preparing artificial feed is immature. However, the adoption of natural feed such as aphids requires planting plants and inoculation of aphids on the plants. After the aphids multiply to a certain density, they are provided to ladybugs or lacewings for predation. In this way, feed and labor costs are high, and larger aphid host plants are required for planting and grow...
