Abstract

The invention discloses a light-emitting diode (LED) module, comprising an LED and a lens matched with the LED, wherein the lens has a concave light incoming surface and a convex light emitting surface, a first coordinate surface and a second coordinate surface vertically intersected are intersected with the light incoming surface and the light emitting surface of the lens, and at least part of continuous areas of the light emitting surface meet the following condition: the radius of curvature of any point of the part of continuous areas in the first coordinate surface is greater than the distance between the point and the LED, and is less than the radius of curvature of a corresponding point on the light incoming surface; and the radius curvature of any point of the above areas in the second coordinate surface is greater than the distance between the point and the LED and is larger than the radius of curvature of a corresponding point on the light incoming surface, thus the light emitting angle of light which is emitted by the LED and reflected by the lens in the first coordinate surface is larger than the light emitting angle thereof in the second coordinate surface. In the invention, the lens regulates light of the LED to generate an optical shape which has large illumination range along one direction and has small illumination range along the other direction, thus being suitable for illumination of special occasions such as roads and the like.
