Embodiment Construction

[0020] The specific implementation manners of the present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments. The following examples are used to illustrate the present invention, but are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.

[0021] The flow of a variable-order multi-order run-length limited modulation and coding method of the present invention is as follows: figure 1 shown, including the following steps:

[0022] Step s101, using (M, d, k) encoding method to obtain an ML-RLL encoded code stream x with a higher code rate R. In this embodiment, d=0 can be set to effectively increase the code rate; and when k is large, the code rate R can be infinitely close to 1, which can also greatly increase the code rate.

[0023] In step s102, the runs are combined or divided, and the order M restriction of a specific run in the code stream x or the d, k constraints of the runs are changed to obtain a VML...

Abstract

The invention discloses a level-variable multi-level run-length limited modulation encoding method which comprises the following steps of: obtaining an ML-RLL (Multi-Level Run-Length-Limited) encoding code stream x with higher code rate R by using (M, d and k) encoding modes; combining or segmenting run lengths, changing the level M limitation of the specific run length or the d and k constraint conditions of the run lengths in the code stream x and obtaining a VML-RLL (Virtual Multi-Level Run-Length-Limited) code stream y with better channel characteristic. The invention reduces the intersymbol interference influence caused by the multi-level run length while farthest utilizing run-length redundancy. The readout characteristic of the level-variable multi-level run-length limited modulation encoding method is same with an ordinary run-length limited modulated DVD (Digital Versatile Disc), thus a servo control system of read data does not need to change. The signal recognition in the level-variable multi-level run-length limited modulation encoding method can be independently carried out in the two directions of the run length and the level. Under the condition of not changing laser wavelength and optical numerical aperture, the invention can markedly improve the storage capacity and the data transmission rate of a CD-ROM (Compact Disc Read-Only Memory) and keep good compatibility with a CD-ROM system at present.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of digital storage, in particular to a variable-order multi-order run-length limited modulation and encoding method. Background technique [0002] Existing digital disc products convert information into binary data, and the binary data corresponds to two different physical states of the record symbol of the storage medium in a certain modulation method to realize data storage. This type of storage method is called binary storage. The current read-only optical disc storage technology adopts a binary storage method. According to the intensity of reflected light, it is judged whether the current corresponding position is "Pit" or "Land". Each recording unit Two state numbers can be recorded on it, that is, information corresponding to exactly 1 bit. [0003] Conventional binary storage optical discs all adopt a run-length-limited encoding scheme, that is, RLL (Run Length Limited, run-length-limited) encoding....
