Abstract

The invention discloses a method for carrying out mutual conversion to the flow definition of workflow meeting the XML criterion based on a metamodel; the invention also relates to a system for realizing the method, which consists of four parts: a rule management module, a conversion engine, an XML read-write device and an XML-metamodel convertor; and the conversion of a workflow model is realized through building a mapped relation between metamodels embodied by XML. The method has universality, solves the conversion problems that the prior tool for flow conversion can only ensure two kinds of flow definition languages, and reduces the time and cost expenditure brought by developing the conversion tool repeatedly.
