Up to now, existing roofing systems are very labor dependent and require multiple steps.

They are also prone to tearing and perforation as the thickness is typically 3 mm or less.
These systems are subject to abrasion, puncture, and thermal cracking caused by tension and compression.
Recent polymeric sheet membranes (E.P.D.M, P.V.C, bituminous modified and other) are complex to apply, and require many joints which are leak prone and subject to failure when tensile forces result from thermal expansion and contraction.
Roofing systems employing shingles all suffer from leakage due to “wind lift”, curling and water back-up.

Coal Tar-Epoxy Composition

[0104]The coating composition described in table 1, below was prepared in accordance with the following protocol:[0105]The 10-20 crumbs was mixed in proportion with buffings (90) and mixed mechanically until mixture was uniform. The approximate time required was about 2 minutes.[0106]The coal tar derivative was added to the DGEBA resin in proportion and mixed till uniform.
