In this way, multiple tools may be retrieved simultaneously, reducing the number of trips required to clear the tools from the wellbore.

Further, tool cost using this approach is driven up because the tools themselves must be considered as expendable.

The retrievable frac packer 10 comprises an annular body 12, which can be run-in to an appropriate position in a well casing 14.
