Abstract

The present invention provides a method for treating schizophrenia in a patient in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of memantine, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a therapeutically effective amount an atypical antipsychotic.
