And it can make HVRP application range not restricted by MSTP application range any more and make HVRP protocol able to apply to any network environment. Because it determines the role of a port by handshake message of HVRP protocol and it only need take the handshake message completely short time to be sent from the root bridge to the farthest- end HVRP bridge, role calculation of each HVRP bridge port can be synchronized basically, better assuring normal operating of HVRP protocol and raising the speed of determining role of port.
