Problems solved by technology

[0018] The aforementioned problems can be solved by mounting the base unit with the pedal lever on the key bed, however, the strength of the key bed is reduced, thereby reducing the durability of the key bed, which is undesirable.
A similar problem arises in any location where the floor unit is mounted to the piano enclosure as long as the pedal lever is introduced into the floor unit
In addition, since the degree of freedom in design and practical operation are limited in terms of the installation positions of support members, return springs, etc., other problems arise.

Embodiment Construction

[0030] The invention will be described in more detail below by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0031] figure 1 is a sectional side view showing the internal structure of an electronic piano according to an embodiment of the present invention; figure 2 is a sectional front view showing some basic components of a pedal linkage mechanism suitable for an electronic piano; image 3 It is an enlarged side view showing some basic components in the action mechanism applicable to electronic pianos; Figure 4 is a partial side view showing specified parts of the operating mechanism including a damper lever which is moved once the damper pedal is depressed.

[0032] figure 1 The appearance of the electronic piano shown is the same as Figure 5 The upright pianos shown are similar in appearance, therefore, those with Figure 5 with Image 6 The same parts in figure 1 with figure 2 are also denoted by the same reference numerals. Therefore, detaile...

Abstract

A keyboard instrument (e.g., an electronic piano) has a keyboard (10) including numerous actions (50) interlocked with numerous keys (11) arranged on a keybed (101), and at least one pedal (e.g., damper pedal (27)) arranged on a base board (28) of a housing (100) thereof, wherein it is equipped with a pedal link mechanism including a pedal lever (20). A keybed reinforcing member (15) is attached to the lower surface of the keybed and is arranged to pivotally support the pedal lever thereunder, wherein a plurality of tapered spacers (17) are put into the space between the keybed and the keybed reinforcing member, which are thus integrally fixed together using screws (18). One end of the pedal lever is interconnected with the pedal via a hanging bolt (21), and the other end is interconnected with a vertical link (22) interlocked with at least one action.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to keyboard musical instruments such as upright pianos, electronic pianos, mute pianos, player pianos (or pianos), and more particularly to pedal mechanisms suitable for these keyboard musical instruments. [0002] This application claims priority from Japanese Patent Application No. 2002-340104, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Background technique [0003] Traditionally, keyboard instruments with automatic playing mechanisms such as grand pianos, upright pianos, and other automatic playing pianos are equipped with pedal mechanisms, such as muting (or sound softening) mechanisms, muffle mechanisms, Damper mechanism (or sound mechanism). [0004] exist Figure 5 In the shown upright piano, there is a key bed 101 at the approximate center of the piano case 100, on which some keys are provided in a keyboard 10, and these keys can be operated respectively to drive some actions Unit (or a...
