Abstract

The present invention provides a hair care composition comprising (a) a polysiloxane resin, wherein at least one substituent in the resin has delocalized electrons; and (b) C 1 -C 6 Aliphatic alcohols. The compositions of the present invention spread easily throughout the hair and deliver good conditioning and shine benefits while reducing stickiness and greasiness. In addition, the composition of the present invention provides a refreshing feeling to the scalp.

In particular, the present invention relates to hair care compositions that spread easily throughout the hair and provide improved conditioning and shine while reducing stickiness and greasy feel. Background of the invention [0002] Hair is constantly subject to various aggressions that can cause damage. These include shampooing, rinsing, drying, heating, combing, styling, perming, coloring, exposure to various environments. As a result the hair is often left in a dry, rough, dull or frizzy state due to friction between the surfaces and removal of the hair's natural oils and other natural conditioning and moisturizing ingredients.
