Abstract

The preparation process of spiral carbon nanotube includes the following steps: 1) crushing manganese nodule mineral from sea bed and ultrasonic cleaning in clear water to eliminate dirt; 2) ball milling the manganese nodule mineral and sieving to obtain 200-mesh powder to be used as catalyst; and 3) setting the catalyst inside quartz boat, maintaining at 700-850 deg.c in nitrogen atmosphere for at least 20 min, and introducing acetylene gas to produce catalytic cracking reaction for at least 15 min to prepare spiral carbon nanotube. The present invention is simple and low in cost, and can provide spiral carbon nanotube or research and application.
