Embodiment Construction

[0021] This part will describe the specific embodiments of the present invention in detail, and the preferred embodiments of the present invention are shown in the accompanying drawings. Each technical feature and overall technical solution of the invention should not be construed as limiting the protection scope of the invention.

[0022] refer to figure 1 , a method for restoring ancient water depth of a faulted basin provided by the present invention specifically includes the following steps:

[0023] The first step is to restore the paleo-thickness of the stratum using the compaction correction and the present thickness.

[0024] Preferably, in step 1, the present thickness of the formation is obtained through time-depth conversion using the acquired seismic data, and then the formation is compacted and corrected by using the wave impedance inversion to obtain the paleo-thickness of the formation.

[0025] It can be understood that the time-depth conversion is a process ...

Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of tectonic geology and petroleum geology, and discloses a method for recovering paleo-water depth of a broken basin, which comprises the following steps of: recovering stratum paleo-thickness by using compaction correction and current thickness; determining a fault slippage distance recovery breakpoint position according to fault activity analysis; according to an area conservation principle, recovering the position of the ancient shoreline point; calculating an ancient slope angle according to the recovered breakpoint and the position of the ancient shoreline point; and calculating the paleo-water depth according to the paleo-slope angle and the horizontal distance to the shoreline. The establishment of the method fully considers how to recover the breakpoint position, including two conditions of denudation and retention of the ascending disc stratum, and has important significance for the deposition history of the ancient sedimentary basin, determination of the deposition system type, evaluation of the conditions of generation, storage and cap strata and the like.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the fields of structural geology and petroleum geology, in particular to a method for restoring ancient water depths in faulted basins. Background technique [0002] The restoration of paleo-water depth is of great significance for studying the sedimentary history of paleo-sedimentary basins, determining the type of sedimentary system, and evaluating the conditions of source, reservoir and caprock. As a common method, the restoration of paleo-water depth has been widely used in oil and gas exploration and achieved remarkable results. [0003] Most of the commonly used methods for paleobath restoration are based on the principles of element geochemistry, trend analysis of stratigraphic spectral attributes, and micro-paleontology. In recent years, a lot of experience has been accumulated through research, and it has also played a positive role in practical applications. However, using the above methods to restore ancient water d...
