The method comprises the steps of: determining whether a sedimentary environment of a target region is a marine carbonate rock sedimentary environment or not according to the geological data of the target region; when determining that the sedimentary environment of the target region is the marine carbonate sedimentary environment, analyzing seismic attribute body slices of a target stratum of the target region, and identifying a long-strip-shaped geological anomalous body with a preset difference feature type; selecting a coring well in the long-strip-shaped geological anomalous body for rock core and slice observation to obtain an observation processing result; performing logging curve analysis on the non-coring well in the long-strip-shaped geological anomalous body to obtain a logging curve analysis result; and identifying the undercut valley in the marine carbonate rock stratum according to the observation processing result and the logging curve analysis result.
