The novel network boundary routing equipment comprises a main routing component and a backup routing component, and the main routing component copies flow into the backup routing component through a backup routing port during communication; when an administrator carries out strategy routing configuration on the main routing unit through the consol configuration port, configuration content is copied to the backup routing unit through the strategy routing configuration copying port at the sametime, and strategy routing in the main routing unit and strategy routing in the backup routing unit are ensured to be consistent all the time; when any link in the main routing component is abnormaland the flow cannot be communicated, the auxiliary routing component is started for communication; after the auxiliary routing assembly is started to communicate, the main routing assembly self-checkswhether normal communication can be carried out once every 30 seconds; if the normal communication can be carried out, the main routing assembly is started to carry out communication and the auxiliary routing assembly stops communicating. On the basis of traditional disaster tolerance, flow backup is added in the equipment disclosed in the invention, and therefore the efficiency of the conversionassembly and the integrity of transmission data are improved during disaster tolerance.
