An electric-assisting heating device is arranged in an air duct where an indoor heat exchanger of the air conditioner is located.The disinfection method for the air conditioner comprises the following steps that when the air conditioner enters into a disinfection mode, timing starts and a timing duration is obtained, and the electric-assisting heating device is controlled to operate to increase temperature in the air duct where the indoor heat exchanger is located to be higher than disinfection temperature; and when the timing duration reaches a first preset duration, the electric-assisting heating device is shut down, and the disinfection mode is exited. The invention further discloses the air conditioner and a computer readable storage medium. Air carrying bacteria blown by the air conditioner is prevented from affecting physical health of a user.
