Abstract

The invention discloses a detection primer for methylation of an MT2 (melatonin receptor 2) gene promoter region and a detection method and application. By adopting the detection method for methylation of the MT2 gene promoter region, predication on sleep disorders of a patient suffering from depression can be conveniently and rapidly achieved at a molecule level. According to the detection primerand the detection method, detection on methylation degrees of an MT2 gene promoter is combined with a polysomnography instrument, data analysis is implemented through pared-samples T testing, and sleep disorders of the patient suffering from depression can be predicted. By using the novel methylation detection method, prediction on the sleep disorders of the patient suffering from depression canbe achieved with the combination of an MT2 gene and the polysomnography instrument, so that reasonable screening of markers can be achieved while related markers of sleep disorders of depression are comprehensively researched.
