The method comprises the following steps: coarsely positioning bolts and nuts of a coupler yoke key safety hanger in a whole vehicle image by using an SSD neural network to obtain sub-images; marking the positions of a coupler yoke key safetyhanger bolt and a coupler yoke key safety hanger nut in the subgraph, and constructing a training set; fitting the training set by adopting an MS-RCNN neural network to obtain training weight parameters, loading the training weight parameters into the MS-RCNN neural network and an SSD neural network, and constructing a speculation model; and inputting the whole train image of the freight train tobe detected into the speculation model, detecting whether the bolt and the nut of the freight train coupler yoke key safety crane are missing or not, and if the confidence coefficient score of missingof the bolt and the nut is higher than a set threshold value, giving an alarm.
