The water quality improvement agent provided by the invention is rich in various probiotic groups,the quantity of effective microbial communities in a water body and aquatic organisms can be increased, the occurence of various bacterial diseases, fungal diseases and viral diseases is effectively prevented, mass propagation of algae, such as cyanobacteria, dinoflagellate and euglena, which are not conducive to water quality optimization and fancy carp growth is prevented, metabolic waste of fancy carp in ponds is effectively decomposed and absorbed, ammonia nitrogen and nitrite contents in the water body are reduced, and dissolved oxygen is increased; the content of carbonate in the limestone powder is relatively high, so that the buffer capacity of aquaculture water can be increased; the water body is kept slightly alkaline; the fancy carp growth is better facilitated.
