The calibration method comprises the steps that the standard displacement generating device is installed in a measurement site, the reference level gauge is fixed to the standard displacement generating device, and the water tank, the working level gauge and the reference level gauge are connected through the water divider; the height of the standard displacement generating device is slowly adjusted in the vertical direction in sequence, and after the system is stabilized, readings of the working level gauge, the reference level gauge andthe standard displacement generating device are measured through the data acquisition unit; and calculation is carried out according to a plurality groups of measurement data, and a calibration coefficient of a to-be-calibrated working level gauge is given.
