The method comprises the steps that parameters influencing the shield tunneling total thrust are determined; determining dimensionless quantity and dimensionless total thrust in the shield tunneling process according to the parameters; obtaining a coefficient identification result of the dimensionless quantity by adopting an LASSO algorithm according to the dimensionless quantity; multiplying each dimensionless quantity coefficient identification result by the corresponding dimensionless quantity to obtain atunneling total thrust calculation model; and determining the shield tunneling total thrust according to the tunneling total thrust calculation model. By means of the method or system, rapid and accurate calculation of the total thrust in the shield tunneling process can be achieved.
