Abstract

A home therapy apparatus comprising: a processor operating a connection agent, having an on mode and an off mode, wherein when the connection agent is in the on mode, the processor is operable to exchange data with a system hub located at a remote location in a patient's home or residence, wherein the data received from the system hub includes a device program, the device program includes a plurality of parameters, the processor uses the parameters to operate the home therapy device to perform the home therapy, and when the connection agent is in a closed mode, the processor cannot exchange data with the system hub; the user interface , for receiving a patient's selection of a device program received from the system hub; and a pump for performing home therapy according to the selected device program under control of the processor.
