Abstract

The invention provides a method for transmitting control information, a terminal device and a network device. The method includes the following steps that: a terminal device determines the bit lengthof downlink control information (DCI) according to the location of a target first time unit in a second time unit, wherein the DCI contains time-domain resource location information which is used to indicates at least one piece of information selected from the time-domain start location information of data transmission of DCI scheduling and the time-domain length information of a third time unit,the DCI is carried on the target first time unit, and the time-domain length of the third time unit is less than or equal to the time-domain length of the second time unit; and the terminal device receives DCI from a network device. With the method for transmitting the control information provided by the embodiments of the present invention adopted, the reduction of the bit redundancy of the downlink control information (DCI) can be facilitated; a condition that the terminal device blindly detects downlink control information of different bit lengths can be avoided; and the complexity of a receiver can be reduced.
