Abstract

An apparatus and a test method for detecting surface permeability and maintenance effect of concrete. The invention relates to a nondestructive testing method for detecting surface permeability and maintenance effect of concrete quickly in situ. The apparatus is composed of a connecting flange, a water saturation device, a negative pressure suction disk, a moisture absorption device, a moisture absorption medium, a vacuum pump, a vacuum display apparatus and a stop valve. A principle for detecting the surface permeability of concrete with the apparatus includes: vaccumizing the surface of concrete, which has been saturated and surface-dried; absorbing the moisture from the surface of the concrete by means of the moisture absorption device and moisture absorption medium; and characterizingthe surface permeability of the concrete by the ratio of mass difference of the moisture absorption medium before and after vacuumizing to the product of vacuumizing time and actual area of concrete in the suction disk. The apparatus and test method are simple in operation, can achieve quick, quantitative and nondestructive detection on the surface permeability of entity components or structures in situ, and are suitable for nondestructive detection on the surface permeability of concrete and evaluation on the maintenance effect of concrete.
